In 2024, the University was equipped with a new charging station for electric cars. The electric vehicle charging columns are powered by their own photovoltaic system. The plant is made available to the employees of the University of Trieste. The initiative is experimental and allows valuable research information to be acquired in the development of monitoring and management systems for photovoltaic charging stations integrated into smart electricity grids.
