At the moment, no university building can be defined as a completely 'smart building'. However, interventions have been carried out for the control and monitoring of technological systems, aimed at improving energy efficiency and comfort (temperature monitoring system in university buildings, low and medium voltage electricity consumption monitoring systems, regulation and control systems for heating and air conditioning systems, installation of motion detectors for lighting systems).  

It is also planned to install the Building Management System serving buildings B, C11, Q, Via Zanella, building W, Via Lazzaretto Vecchio 6-8, Androna Campo Marzio 10, Via Tigor 22, Gorizia University Campus and Conference Centre.
