The International Mobility Office runs exchange programmes both in Europe and all over the world by providing assistance for University of Trieste students who wish to have a study experience or to do an internship abroad. Moreover, the International Mobility Office welcomes students from all over the world who arrive at Trieste for an exchange programme, and it offers them assistance during their stay in Trieste.

The following diagram shows incoming and outgoing mobility of students who come from or go to European and non-European countries.
During the academic year 2020/21, first-semester mobilities were suspended, both incoming and outgoing, due to the pandemic; the resumption during the second semester was partial as many students decided to opt out anyway, given the uncertain health situation. For these reasons, student mobilities were considerably reduced compared to the average of previous years. There were 183 outgoing and 70 incoming mobilities.
