In 2021, two "third mission" - scientific dissemination activities were carried out under the "Trieste City of Knowledge" Protocol between the Municipality of Trieste and the entities of the Trieste System: Trieste Next Festival and the Researchers' Night.
As part of the Framework Agreement with the Laboratorio dell'Immaginario Scientifico, hands-on workshops with school pupils promoted by university departments continued. The events organised in cooperation with the entities of the Trieste System were very well received by the public.
