The graph shows a reduction in the number of staff affiliated with the local healthcare service (ASUGI), while the number of staff affiliated with Research Hospital Burlo Garofolo and other hospital companies remains fairly constant. The level of the University's collaboration with ASUGI, however, is progressively increasing. The University is expanding the medical campus of Cattinara, which will become home to 12 of the 15 courses related to medicine and health currently offered at the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Health Sciences. The DOCFAP (feasibility document for design alternatives) is under assessment by the region as it selects the most suitable solution and approves its inclusion in ASUGI's annual plan (commissioning body).
