The main objectives of Trieste University Press (EUT) are to select, enhance and disseminate UniTS research results and educational material for all disciplines. EUT has a catalogue (https://eut.units.it) of more than 700 printed titles and 15,000 documents (monographs, articles, conference proceedings) freely available on the OpenstarTs digital archive (https://www.openstarts.units.it). EUT publishes an average of 60/70 new titles per year, including 24 scientific journals. The impact of EUT's activity is well represented by the number of overall downloads, which has grown significantly in recent years.

In 2024, the Trieste University Press has confirmed the primacy of its publications in the field of law, and political and social sciences, although with a slight decrease compared to the previous year. There is also an increase in the number of publications in the pure and applied sciences, a sign of an opening up to new fields of study.

As far as engagement is concerned, downloads continue to grow, reflecting the increasingly widespread use of open-access content. Volume distribution has increased significantly, while the number of current series and journals has reduced, indicating a possible streamlining of the publications on offer. Title production remains stable, with a slight decline in online releases.

Overall, 2024 marks a phase of consolidation and strategic reorientation, with a greater focus on digital dissemination and a more careful selection of publishing lines.
