Associate professors represent the largest category; after a slight decrease in 2020 due to the effect of retirements and career moves to full professor, there is a reversal in 2021, due to the move of 11 university researchers to the role of associate professor, following an extraordinary ministerial funding plan. Full professors are also on the rise, due to the recruitment plan. The depleted role of university researchers is therefore decreasing, while the weight of RTDs is growing.
