  • Professors and researchers: breakdown and features

Compared to the previous year, the composition of the teaching and research staff shows a slightly higher incidence of full professors (PO): the effect can be attributed primarily to the career progression of associate professors (PA) who have obtained national qualifications. Overall, in 2021 the teaching and research staff was enriched by 21 units against 34 terminations; there were 59 career progressions. While the reduction in university researchers (RU) is to be considered physiological (the role is depleted), the incidence of non-fixed-term researchers (RDT) (the youngest component) has increased slightly due to two extraordinary recruitment plans financed by the MUR (up to 15%) but is still below the national average (19%).
