Resources have also been allocated for the year 2024 to ensure that permanent and fixed-term staff can access the University welfare programme.
Benefits included the reimbursement of expenses associated with raising children, such as nursery school and summer centers, school fees, school meals, the purchase of books as well as the reduction and/or payment of tuition fees and the reimbursement of significant personal family expenses, be they health-related or otherwise.
The budget dedicated to UniTS staff subsidies is smaller than in previous years. In view of the need to monitor and review the provision of welfare benefits, applications for grants for medical expenses and for significant personal and family expenses incurred during 2024 have been postponed. The grants related to this measure will be provided following the conclusion of the application procedure as set out in the relevant rules of procedure. In the case of grants that were not fully paid within the reference year, funds have nevertheless been set aside in order to ensure payment during 2025. All allowances are paid at the request of those entitled to them until exhaustion of allocated funds.
