National examinations to access regulated professions-CT15

Professional qualifications are obtained through nationally recognised exams. The university organises this type of exam and provides support to the commissions both by appointing some of the commissioners from among its teaching staff and by providing the necessary infrastructure. This activity is used to select qualified professionals in various fields (dentists, engineers and architects, psychologists, accountants, physicians, pharmacists...). In recent years, the number of graduates who have chosen to take their professional qualification exam at our university has fallen. The reduction is mainly due to the lower number of applications for the professional exams in engineering and architecture.

In particular, the overall number of candidates for this type of qualifying examinations has further decreased in 2024-2025. However, the success rate is high: More than 80% of the candidates obtained the qualification, while about 16% failed the exam and less than 4% decided not to sit the exam. The decline in enrolment is in line with the trend already observed in recent years. As it was already pointed out, this still seems to be due to a reduction in the demand for qualification for some technical professions, in particular engineering professions. Nevertheless, the increase in the percentage of qualified candidates suggests a more effective educational programme or a more targeted initial selection of candidates.
