This indicator shows the University's social media following, as well as the intensity of communication activity. In recent years, the number of followers has increased on all the social networks on which the University is present.
In 2024, the University of Trieste registered an increase in the number of followers on all its main platforms. LinkedIn remains the channel with the largest audience, followed by Facebook and Instagram. X (formerly known as Twitter) also shows some steady growth. However, there is a general decline in content production, especially for Instagram. Only Facebook and LinkedIn have maintained their levels of content over the three-year period.
The gap between audience growth and content shrinkage suggests it would be worth rethinking editorial strategies to strengthen visibility and engagement.
