The gender composition of the student population within university departments does not show any significant changes among the various years. The male component is predominant in the Departments of Engineering and Architecture, Physics, Mathematics and Geosciences, and, slightly, in the academic year 2020/21, also Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics. The female component is predominant in the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies, followed by the Departments of Medical Sciences, Humanities and Life Sciences, and Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
